Sorbello Farms CSA
Founded in the 1930’s, Sorbello Farms is in it’s 3rd generation of family farmers. Located in Swedesboro, New Jersey, Sorbello Farms has grown to a 1,000 acre operation and is regarded as one of the top vegetable farms in the state. The farm is co-owned by Tom Sorbello and Kris Wilson, which together, have developed a reputation for growing some of the best vegetables in New Jersey. And starting in 2015, Sorbello Farms only grows plants from non-GMO seeds.
Sorbello Farms was one of the first farms to introduce drip irrigation and plastic covered beds to New Jersey Farmers. They take pride in utilizing the latest technology throughout their entire operations. The farming industry is no longer about “dirt and overalls” but rather technology, efficiency, and innovation. Since 2006, Sorbello farm has successfully participated in the USDA Food Safety Program while consistently passing GAP & Harmonized Audits.
Kris and Steve started Sorbello Farms CSA, with Uncle Tom’s blessing, and they aim to provide locally grown produce to members in the region, year round. To accomplish this, Kris and Steve grow their crops outside during the typical New Jersey growing season and indoors throughout the fall/winter/spring months. And, through their long standing relationships with local farmers in the area they are able to source just harvested, local produce when mother nature doesn't cooperate.
All produce from Sorbello Farms is grown in New Jersey on their farm or partner farms.
